Appointments and Cancellations

In order to provide appropriate medical care The Orangeville Family Medical Centre (OFMC) will be operating by appointment only. 

It is extremely important that you try to inform the staff of the type of visit you require to assist in booking an appropriate appointment time. Please indicate if you require a regular visit, a longer visit for counselling, a complete physical examination or simply an injection. Every effort will be made to accommodate your family in a manner appropriate to your medical needs. Please be assured that confidentiality will be strictly maintained in all aspects of the Centre

We kindly ask that you honour your appointment times and notify the Centre of any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a financial charge (up to $40.00 for regular appointments and $70.00 for missed physicals).

The OFMC telephone options are as follows:

Press 1 - to cancel an appointment

Press 2 - for general switchboard

Press 3 - for patient accounts, health card or TeleHealth Advisory information

Press 4 - for location/hours/fax#/record transfer/Family Health Organization information (also Flu shot inquiries from October-January)

Few medical problems can be dealt with adequately and safely by telephone. We will make every effort to accommodate all patients with the appropriate medical care.

Should you need assistance after-hours and you are one of our Family Health Organization registered patients, simply telephone a registered nurse at the Telephone Health Advisory Services at 1-866-553-7205. Non-registered and registered patients can call Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000 at any time.
