with their patients by allowing them to create their own web site for their practice.
Brought to you by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA), Practice Solutions Web Services Inc., the CMA's Internet healthcare technology subsidiary and
a number of contributing medical organizations, mydoctor.ca is the trusted place for healthcare professionals and patients to communicate.
Anticipating the growing need for physicians and patients to communicate online in a safe, secure and trusted environment, the CMA has
responded to the challenge with mydoctor.ca, a service designed to help physicians to integrate the internet into their medical
practice in a way that benefits both them and their patients. For physicians, the service provides office efficiencies and a way to
communicate information to patients outside of the office encounter, while respecting CMPA guidelines. For patients, it offers a trusted
web site from their own physician with relevant information about their physician's practice, services available from the clinic,
information on community support services and links to well respected sources of information on diseases and treatment selected by their
physician. It will allow patients to better prepare for their visits and enrich the quality of the time spent with their physician
during their next appointment. All in a safe and secure online environment.
